Many Americans don’t even realize how lucky they are that they hold a passport that allows for so much unrestricted travel. Now, another country has been added to the list that U.S. citizens can hope on a plane to without worrying about the visa application.

American citizens who wish to travel to Oman for up to 10 days can now do so without a visa. The United States is in the list of 103 countries that Oman has now allowed tourists to come visa-free. Other countries on the list include South Africa, Australia, the UK, and many European countries.

Travelers will need to come ready with a confirmed hotel reservation, health insurance, and a return tickets that’s been booked.

In the past, U.S. citizens who wished to visit Oman had to apply for a visa on the Royal Oman Police E-Visa website and needed to have a passport that is valid for at least six months. The cost of a visa for a 10-day trip was $14 and $52 for a 30 day stay.

American passports grant citizens visa-free visits to most of Europe, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Several countries that do require a visa from U.S. citizens include Russia, India, China, Vietnam, and Turkey. These can all be accessed electronically.
