You don’t have to be an expert on the British Royal Family to know that they have very expensive possessions. Though the cars and palaces make a statement, the jewels are the most fascinating for most people.

From tiaras that could make Tiffany’s bow down to stunning 11-tier necklaces, the royal collection is quite amazing. Everyone from the Queen Mary to Kate Middleton has been allowed to wear iconic pieces that are ingrained in history forever.

Most of these rocks aren’t for sale. Instead, they are heirlooms passed from one monarch to another. Each royal person has at least one prized piece. Here are the most expensive ones.

Girls of Great Britain & Ireland Tiara

Royal weddings are a huge deal in Britain and elsewhere. When Elizabeth got married to Prince Philip in 1947, her grandma, Queen Mary, gave her the Girls of Great Britain & Ireland Tiara. Its estimated value is $207,000 and is one of Queen Elizabeth’s prized possessions.

Queen Alexandra’s Wedding Necklace

Prince Albert worked hard on what to give Princess Alexandra (Denmark) for their wedding in 1863. He spent about $18,522 on the set that included a brooch, pair of earrings, and a diamond necklace. It’s valued at $1.6 million now and was handed down from the Queen Mother to Kate Middleton the Duchess of Cambridge.

St. Edward’s Crown is one of, if not the, most important objects in the Royal Collection. The original was created in 1649 but was destroyed during the English Civil War. The crown was then recreated in 1661 and made out of solid gold and 444 precious and semi-precious stones. It makes sense that it is worth a whopping $39 million.

The Belgium Sapphire Tiara, Earrings and Necklace

Queen Elizabeth was given the Belgium Sapphire earrings, and necklace by her late father on her wedding day in 1947. These jewels date back to the Victorian era. The tiara was purchased by the Queen herself in 1963 from Princess Louise of Belgium. The set is worth $1 million.

Diamond Monogram Brooch

Princess Margaret was a fashion lover, who free of the constraints that her sister Elizabeth was placed under, was able to be more experimental with her style. This brooch was commissioned in 1951 and features the letter “M” with a crown. The brooch went for $200,000.

Tabbah Infinite Cascade Necklace

Princess Charlene wanted to wear something unique when marrying Prince Albert II of Monaco in 2011. Tabbah created this piece that is made of 1,237 diamonds with white pearls set in a modern design. The necklace is worth somewhere between $300,000 to $500,000.

The Imperial State Crown

While similar to the St. Edward’s Crown, the two are actually quite different. This version of the Imperial State Crown was made in 1937 for the ruling monarch to wear after coronation and during important events. The crown features the St. Edward’s sapphire, Cullinan II diamond, Stuart sapphire, and the Black Prince’s ruby, along with lots of other small diamonds and plenty of gold. While its exact value on its own is not known, it is part of The Crown Jewels that are worth a collective $5 billion.

Parmigiani Watch

Since 2015, Prince Charles has been sporting this $12,500 18-carat watch. The Swiss watchmaker only releases a few pieces each year, and the heir to the British throne was able to snag this particular model allegedly while vacationing in nearby village of Klosters, Switzerland.

Princess Diana’s Butterfly Earrings

These small and adorable diamond butterfly earrings were first owned by Princess Diana and were most recently worn by the Duchess of Sussex while on the Royal Tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga. The simple yet elegant earrings are wroth $15,000.

She commissioned Gerrard to make the necklace and earring set for her and she wore the set in London at a Swan Lake ballet performance in one of her last public appearances, hence the name of the set. The set was auctioned off after her passing and it was most recently sold for $13 million.

Interestingly, the huge rubies in this brooch and necklace set were originally opals. Queen Victoria bought the necklace in 1854 from Garrad. Another incredible diamond tiara exists thanks to Queen Mary. The Gloucester Honeysuckle tiara is from jewelers E. Wolff & Co. for Garrad sometime during 1913 and 1914. Queen Mary then gave it to Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, who then gave it to Birgitte, current Duchess of Gloucester.

The Infinite Ring

The Infinite ring from Vanessa Tugendhat’s Promesse line is one of Meghan’s favorite pieces. The ring, which features 0.25 carat diamonds, is worth $1500. The dainty and sweet ring has been seen worn by Markle on several occasions.

Queen Mary’s Boucheron Loop Tiara

The original Boucheron Tiara was commissioned by Mary of Teck but was dismantled almost immediately after. The Boucheron Loop Tiara was made soon after from gifts given to Mary and George sometime after their South Africa trip in 1901 or 1902. This tiara was then dismantled to create the Delhi Durbar tiara in 1911.

Lady Sarah’s Floral Wedding Tiara

Lady Sarah Chatto wore the Snowdon Floral tiara during her 1994 wedding. The diadem dates back to 1960 when Princess Margaret was gifted it on her wedding day. The tiara is worth something around $40,000 and $50,000.

The Spencer Tiara

Princess Diana wore this stunning 800-diamond tiara during her 1981 wedding to Prince Charles. It has been in the Spencer family for centuries. It is also made out of 24-carat gold, making the impressive diadem worth $225,000.

The Iveagh Tiara

The Iveagh Tiara, worn by Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester, first belonged to Mary of Teck. It was given to Queen Mary in 1893 on her wedding day. The crown is named for Lord and Lady Iveagh of Ireland and is worth $81,252.

Asprey Aquamarine Ring Set

This gorgeous 30 carat ring was commissioned by Princess Diana after she divorced Prince Charles in 1996. She also made a matching bracelet made for the ring. The $500,000 ring was given to Meghan Markle by Prince Harry years later.

Platinum Fern Brooch

Though most recently seen being worn by Kate Middleton, the platinum Fern Brooch is owned by Queen Elizabeth II. She was given the brooch as a gift by the Women of Auckland, New Zealand in the 1950’s during her tour of the country after her coronation.
